  • Grain in smoke

I am using a large scale smoke emitter from a moving truck. The truck goes pretty close to the camera, and there is considerable grain in the render. Any ideas how to fix this?

Is "use light cache" active in Phoenix render settings? If so, try turning it off or try to decrease it to 0.2 or lower.

Ah ok, then I don't know. Haven't used Phoenix with scanline.

          Hey,

The Phoenix Light Cache is there for Scanline as well: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...lor-Parameters

This really sounds like your best bet. Additionally, please check if Probabilistic Shading is on and try to disable it from the Phoenix Atmosphere: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...spheresettings

          Cheers!

Unchecking Probabilistic Shading did the trick. Thanks!
