  • V-Ray Light Select to separate reflection pass?

Hi guys, is there a way that we could separate reflection pass per light?

And also for direct diffuse and direct specular, is there a way to render indirect diffuse and indirect specular?

    Thanks.

This will be possible with V-Ray Next in a couple of weeks.

vlado Does this mean LPE in V-Ray Next Maya beta in couple weeks? Or this is just an expansion of Light Select until a full migration to LPE? I recalled LPE will come as an update of V-Ray Next, no?
      always curious...

It is an expansion to the light select until we implement full LPEs. I need it for some other stuff...

vlado is V-Ray Next for Maya beta ready to be tested? If yes, is it accessible for current users who have access to nightly builds?

          Thanks!

It will be soon, but the light path expressions are not there just yet, although there is some work being done.

Thanks for the update Alex. I don't mind to wait at all for the best.

              cheers.

Hi, did the mentioned update make it in the final release of Vray Next for Maya (40402)? This would be very useful and if it is available, is it in a different setting then the LightSelect?

It will be in the LightSelect itself. The light-path expressions might be there before we manage to port the new indirect modes from 3ds Max, though, which means that essentially you would be able to do anything. We don't have anything ready yet, but once there's something, I'll let you know. We aim to have those for the next major update, but I prefer not sharing any specific ETAs before we have something that's working. Hopefully, we'll have something soon.
