  • Vray stand alone & rendering animation with Forest Pack camera culling on

    Hi,

Not really sure what's the best way of doing this but when you render an animation stream containing forest pack, set to cull objects not in the camera view, with Vray stand alone it doesn't update the culling as the camera moves.
I assume that's because Vray is collapsing forest pack into a mesh for the entire stream at the start of the submission and not updating every time the camera moves.

Aside from submitting each frame one by one is there any other way of doing this?

    Thanks

    Hello,

What V-Ray for 3ds Max version are you using? For V-Ray Next Update 1 we've changed the exporter code and it should properly export the Forest Pack object.

    Best regards,

The fix is in the newer version (4.10.02.00001) - you would need to install it and export to vrscene again.
