  • Render mask of an object behind a window.

I have render mask enabled of an object that is a computer screen behind a window.
Nothing renders because of the glass object in front.
Is there a way to force it to still use the region of the screen, ...that would force it to render only the region of glass in front of the screen?
Hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

Is your window a regular (not plane) geometry with refractive material? If so unfortunately there is no way for the Render Mask Selected to work directly for now.
It works with opacity so simple things like invisible plane lights work - if that is an option ?

    Best regards,

Yes it is, thanks for responding. I guess I'll just do it in layers. thanks for letting me know so I don't grind my gears for no reason!
