    well 3dsmax allready supports DDS textures and it may also anderstand the DDS mipmapping levels info. I dont know.

    I second that we realy need a Photoshop plugin that read vrimg file format.
    Its a non sens to have a fabulous and super fast renderer such as VRay when to use its results you need to open a dos command window, enter a command line, open the result channel by channel in photoshop etc... a hudge waste of time...

      according to some release notes file (of max) i read, DDR textures can render differently on computers with different graphics cards because they get processed by the graphics card - even during normal renderings

      found it: max 6 readme.rtf
      Net rendering scenes with DDS textures or with output to DDS files is not recommended on heterogeneous render farms. This is due to DDS being a hardware-accelerated format. As such results will differ between video card model/driver combinations resulting in inconsistent renderings across frames.
