  • lighcache sample and filter value

What is the exact technique to catch the good size for a world unit?
I have read the help file which says the param between the sample and the filter size x4/6, but I haven't understood how evaluate the size of the samples.
I'm trying but I'm loosing time and nothing better.
Please if someone have a good explanation.
    thx

The way I set up this is as follows:

Create anywhere in your camera view a small sphere with the approximate apparent size that you want the samples in the light cache to be. Note the sphere radius, and enter this value as the sample size parameter. From there, set the filter size to be 2 to 4 times greater than that, depending on the smoothness you want to get.

You can then delete the sphere.

But I'm not sure of the sample good size.
      here my scene:
the sphere seems good or bad?

This should be about fine, yes. You can make it smaller for more detailes in the light cache, but usually this is not necessary.

would this also work for the size of the DE in irradiance map?

                best regards

Yes, but only for the "World" mode of course.
