What sort of optimization you use?

I'm guesssing some kd-tree/bvh and you search the lights close to the shade point first because they'll have the greatest impact asuming the brightness of the light sources is the same?

I calculate light flux of source to decide how many sample I should use for this source.

Now I have gotten really clear and fast result.

            That's looking great, nice work!
Is this stable with an animated light source?

Just animation of position. No scale animation or form animation.

              Without GI.

Will turning AA on somehow increase rendertime ? Especially with glossy ? Or it is just a test...
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

Now I am trying to increase speed with AA. fixed rate 4 is quite slow.
But now light plygon count does not affect render speed.

How can the ceiling be shaded Red and the left wall shaded White? Shouldnt it be the opposite?

no i think thats correct, the light that hits the wall in 90 degree is much stronger than in an glazing angle

                          cheers

How does it handle glossy surfaces?

in every image i see a different AA sampling from lights to the rest of the image. Is it as designed or only for the development phase?
