What really takes so long for a scene to render? Let's say I have a scene that takes 10hrs to render with 1 machine. If I add a second machine, that is exactly the same as the first machine, I would assume my render times would be cut in half. So, if I simple add 5 of exactly the same machines, why am I not seeing near real time rendering?

every time I add a machine, I should reduce the render time by 1/2 (in theory).Bobby Parker

Yes. That is what I meant to sayOriginally posted by MoonDoggie View PostNo, you said each time you add one machine you halve the render time. That should only be the case when you go from 1 machine to 2. To halve it again, you'd need 4 machines, not 3.Bobby Parker
