  • Dynamic memory limit 0 ?

I was under the impression that setting the dynamic memory limit to 0 would use all of the available memory on a machine, and setting it to a negative number (say -5000) would you all of the memory except for the negative number, reserving that for other stuff. However when I do this in Maya (Vray 3.3) I get the error message "Warning: line 1: Performance loss: dynamic memory limit too low".

Is this something that perhaps works in Max, but not in Maya?

    Which OS are you using?

    Best regards,

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

I just did a few tests on similar software configuration to see if there is anything unusual in this setup. The only situations when this warning pops up is when the negative Dyn. memory limit exceeds the current free system memory.
This is the latest official 3.3 for Maya not a nightly build, right ?
