  • photorealistic rendering for no opening large scene

Hi, i heard and read a lot of tutorials from internet saying that it is very hard to get photorealistic look rendering with a large and no opening scene, e.g. A food court inside shopping mall.
the reason is because no natural light coming into the scene.

Below is a scene of what my client keep on complain that it look fake and too dark, hoping someone could help and guide me to improve this image, thank you.

I'd say some color correction (and subtle glows for the spots) can already help a lot with realism.

Can you post the image from the first post as an OpenEXR file out of the V-Ray frame buffer? I want to try something...

          Best regards,

Sure it is. The camera is just properly white balanced to 3000k.

And yet so very true Also the greenish yellow cast doesn't look very inviting. I can only imagine what color my food would have in that light

Hi Vlado, i already change all the lighting, if you want i can still save the current lighting in OpenEXR.
you want me to save in 32bit OpenEXR? after saved post in this thread?
                      Best regards,

What im.thatoneguy is saying is that the colour of a light is somewhat arbitrary when you take into consideration the ability to change your camera's white balance.
What I'm saying, is that that is a perfect answer to your dilemma regarding what you're expecting your client to say about the colour of the lights...

If they want a "simulation", give them the dark and yellow version. If they want an "artist's impression" give them the clean and bright version...
When they complain, explain the situation to them.

I did explain to them, but some clients are stubborn and very hard to explain to them, anyway, i am still continue changing the lighting mode, i hope they will like my new version.
