  • Onyx Tree rendering

Hi, we got Onyx tree recently which is excellent but, what is the best way to apply the textures so that VRay will render as quick as possible ?

    thanks

What I have been using is a vray material with the leaf texture in the diffuse slot and the alpha image in the Opacity slot at the bottom of the maps rollout.

    Affect shadows is ticked.

Problem with this is that the leaves render with a slight white border around them considering that material in the editor is fine.

How have other prople got round this ?

    thanks

a: you dont need to click affect shadow. i believe when you use the opacity slot its automatic. and
b: if you turn your blur down in your maps or something like that it will take the white border away.

i would go into photoshop and add more green similar to the leaf colour so that you are left with no white in your leaf colour map.

          cheers
