Double omni and that nice hemisphere... And nice region render!
as I said, there is one light but because of light scattering it makes it look like there is two. One is the bulb the other is the glass between the glass and the bulb in the lamp.
Plus you can also notice multiple shadows from the window through curtain.

Here´s my go....it´s far from perfect, but just had some 20 mins playing with it for fun and distraction. I mimiced the reflection of the table on the cup by creating low-poly geometry and camera-mapping it. The main Problem i see (and that would be tough to master! Is the re-creation of the stronger reflection ON the table in the shadow areas (for example close to the cup on the left side)...Well one could create it easily in PS, but i guess that´s not really the point of the excersise....well at least not for most of us lol As a practise this is directly out of max without PS postwork or comping. Some grain and a lil blur was added as a render-effect.
Icarus is a match mover software, it is the predecessor of PFtrack and was available free. If you do a search on www.cgtalk.com I think you can still find a link to download it. it has a module which allows you to recreate a camera by tracing lines on objects on xyz axis.
