  • Need a SCRIPT, does an1 has it ?

    Heya

    Soo yea Its a pain to manage scenes with 5000 objects 400 materials and so on, a specially to optimize it for rendering so I'm betting some1 will have a script that will do thing like

    Control over every material

    Iterpolation on/off for reflection and refraction

    Subdivs for reflection and refraction

    Max Depth for Reflection and refraction

    And thats it... any1 has it so I can select all my objects and within 2 click change all settings ??

    Thanks in advice, bai.

    My favorite is VMC (Vray Material Control). It'll do all you ask and more...

            Hey guys.

            I thought Id ask u again for some help, since u were so amazing last time :P

            Does any1 have a script that will allow me to select ... 50 lights and tell them all to exclude 1 object... instead of doing it by hand... ?

              There have been several scripts over the years that do this but doing a search for "light exclude" on scriptspot and sorting by date turned out to be a good place to start.
              I'd try this one from Anubis - it's pretty new and his scripts tend to be pretty well done. http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/sc...exclude-lights

              I hope that helps,

                  I tried this and it worked. Im still learning scripting but this seemed to work as long as you select the main light and not the targets (sorry still learning). But just copy and paste this in the maxscript window and change the insertnamehere to the object you wanna exclude press CTRL E.

                  o=#($insertnamehere)
                  $.excludeList=o
