    don't know why I didn't figure this out before, but instead of JUST using adaptive AA -4/-4 when you are creating an irradmap for latter use, also use render region and render just a few pixels, little bit quicker.

      Cant you also render it at half or quater size, and then have the iradiance map max at 1 or 2?
      I havent tried it, but i cant see why it wouldnt work.

          I'm somewhat new to VRAY (I bet you've heard that statement a lot), and I was wondering if you could possibly explain to me why / how you can render an irradence map seperately? I always that when you turn on GI, the irradiance map is rendered in prepasses before actually rendering the image? Am I incorrect? Any advice would be welecomed.

            Erhh.. why not just use the "Don't render final image (only compute GI maps)" feature, then NOTHING gets rendered.
