40th, thanks for the tutorial. Do you generally use a .jpg file for the background slot as opposed to a .hdr? As is the sky you posted the rapidshare link to?

It doesn't matter if it's a .Jpeg or .hdr, important that the image is high resolution/Dpi.

I'm glad that you found this tutorial helpful. About the grass, first thank you and the method behind the grass you can find here http://asgvis.com/index.php?option=c...11546#msg11546

            -i'm sory bad english

Re: Reflected Environment Set up- Tutorial

why do you guys have to use 2000 multiplier for the Sky?? I use 50 and is more than enough!

                anyway, about the background...

how did you blend so well the CGTextures background panorama with your render? Is it my impression or those trees on the background of your image ARE NOT the same trees seen on the horizon of the sky panorama?

Re: Reflected Environment Set up- Tutorial

                  Sorry for the late answer.
The multiplier depends on the image you using (I believe LDR has to do with it)
The trees in the BG are separately inserted in PS.

                    1. Environment>Background>Click on the 'M'
                    2. Select 'bitmap' under type
                    3. Click on the 'm' and select the image from it's location on the hard drive.
                    4. Under UVW select Environment, and spherical under mapping
                    5. Under multiplier type the intensity/brightness of the image (the number depends on a lot of variable- if you have physical Camera turned on then you have to bump the multiplier to thousands)

*For adjusting the HDRI to the sun direction use the Horizontal Rotation (in my case i used 45 degrees).

                    That's it
                    Hi:

I try to duplictae this effect of the sun and sky like you in the latest VRFU and does not work for me, what I do wrong?...Thank you so much, can you explain like the example here step by step how i can do that, and the sky looks like yours instead like dead color?...

                    Again thank you!!

I can't replicate the sky like your sample...What I do wrong...I am lost...

The best that I can do is keep learning, and the Renderings are just a small step to get real.

                      Hi Kelper,
You're very close to it. You just need more saturation in your BG image.

I've download the same image that you place for sky and where is the saturation command?...do you talk about PS job?....I don't get it...If you can do the same job that you post for the old VRAY for the new will be great for all like I was doing for the Grass displacement Tutorial that I create.

                        Help will be appreciate...

Yes, I mean Ps. You can post process the rendered image image or saturate the BG image separately.

So you tell me that this is not the real work entire in VRAY you work separate in Photoshop, you should tell everyone in the forum that your images are retouched instead all results from VRAY....What a waist of time try, and try for some miss information....

I'm sorry you feel this way, but the tutorial was about putting building's textures to be reflected in the building's glass. Thats why the topic is Reflected Environment Set up. If you want to get more saturated sky when you're using an image/HDRI for BG then either find one exactly like you want it to be or find a close one and adjust it with ps.

Some more respect wouldnt be that bad Kelper, take it easy.
With a little less knowledge of rendering you would directly see that the image is post-processed, so don't blame 40th the helpfull one but take a look at your own skills..
