    Re: COMPLETE RENDER PROCESS TUTORIAL

    Hey Omar,

if it's geometry that's a problem, I've had success exporting as dae (collada) from max and bringing that into sketchup. Less explosion of geometries. There are also some good cleanup plugins at sketchucation, I know thomthom has a great one here http://forums.sketchucation.com/view...?f=323&t=22920

      Hello Omar

Thank you for great tutorial it made me better. I have a question. I did exactly everything you did in tutorial. What if I want to create an artificial light there? Lets say those lamps upon the table. I created spot light even tyred IES light and others but everytime render is either black or it gives me soem sort of error. I looked for soem tutorials but I couldnt find a solution.
Can you even make an artificial light while using HDRI liek you did? i am really newbie in this os I appreciate every help. Your tutorial was so far the best that is all over the internet.

      Thanks a lot

          Re: COMPLETE RENDER PROCESS TUTORIAL

          One more question...
I have a problem with lights. By using default settings of vray, none of them seem to work. When I render a scene, lights doesn't appear. Rectangular light is shown as a black rectangular.

I believe there is a simply solution of this, but I haven't figure it out.

I appreciate if someone knows a solution of this.

          Thx!

            Re: COMPLETE RENDER PROCESS TUTORIAL

            Hi man,
As an architecture student I would like to thank you personally for your tutorial, it really made the difference for me in this exam session!
But there is a topic that I had never seen done good in any tutorial and it is about the IES light...
sure i can place them in the model, and they actually do lights, but without the photometric solid I can't find the right way to place them... for exemple, if I have a linear light, like a fluorescent tube, how can I put it in the right way in the model?
            Thank you very much!

              Re: COMPLETE RENDER PROCESS TUTORIAL

hey guys, i had not seen your replies...
shone, the lights, you have to increase the multiplier... when i'm using default lights, i use multiplier values of 30... of course, it depends on many things...
madhattermatt, for the ies lights there's an icon in the vray toolbar, the thing with them is that you have to use the ies light files... i´m in a little trip right now, so i can't send them to you, but, could anybody from the forum please upload them?
one more thing with the ies lights... i use multiplier values of more than one million!, some times 40 millions, some times 10... so try it

I already answered to you all.
you can look for the tutorials at the youtube site.
Just look for "the complete rendering process"
                      and follow the next order:
                      introduction, illumination part 1 - 3, Materials part 1 - 4 and post production.
                      see you guys around
