Glorybound, have a look at http://sigmaflowsupport.com/support/...barticleid=116 regarding the installer error. This seems to be a common issue with installer software and easy to fix.

Yes. I did try that, but it didn't work for me. I'm good for now, but I'm sure I'll have to address is sooner or later.

I've been using PSD manager on a small product design project and am really liking it. I had one suggestion, not sure how difficult it would be to add. In the separated object output rollout, I think it would be useful to add a button to 'add selected'. The add objects works wonderfully, but if there are a lot of things I want to add, sometimes it's a bit bothersome to have to click each individual one. It would also come in very handy when everything is already in a selection set or layers and I think it could be a huge time saver on larger projects.

Great Job. I'm really liking the plugin and am excited for V-Ray buffer support.

You don't have to click for each object. In 3ds max if you use any tool that puts you in a picking mode to select multiple objects form the viewport then you can always use the "h" key to get a select by name dialog. Just in case you use the "Outliner" MAXScript: if you installed/configured it to use the "h" key as shortcut, then this will overwrite/disable this common behaviour in 3ds max.
The wish for adding the selected objects has also come up in our non-public Beta test already - but it won't be in 3.1.

Thanks for your feedback and feature suggestion.

The free psd-manager 3.1 update "the V-Ray release" will be out very soon. V-Ray 1.5 - 2.2 will be supported.

Here is how to prepare if you didn't purchase psd-manager at the cebas shop directly:
                1. Go to http://my.cebas.com
                2. Create your own my.cebas.com account if you have none so far (used for forums, shop, product downloads, etc.)
                3. Send an email to register@cebas.com and mention:
                  - that you want access to psd-manager 3 Updates
                  - email address of your my.cebas.com account
                  - shop/reseller/distributor you purchased psd-manager 3 from
                  - psd-manager 3 license code that you received from your cebas reseller/distributor
                4. Once your product is registered you will see updates listed under my.cebas.com under View Product Registrations (as soon as they are available)

If you purchased psd-manager 3 directly at cebas.com just relax.

                Best Regards,
                Daniel

Yes, of course. Free unlimited network rendering. V-Ray Distributed Rendering works too.

Edit: Sorry. Didn't see the reply of trick at first.

                          • I see that VFB is now functional! That's great.

Before I purchase, I have a question pertaining to Linear Workflow. I have been playing around with the trail version but cannot seem to create a PSD file of the same gamma as my render. I use Max 2.2 gamma correction with only Output gamma set to 1. But even when I choose to override the gamma to 2.2, I get a very dark PSD file. Am I missing something?

It seems that I have to change my output gamma to 2.2 in max preferences to get the correct gamma in my PSD file. Is this necessary?

                            • 32bit PSD? That should work. If you are rendering to 8 or 16bit PSD's then I think you need to set the Max Gamma output to 2.2 as well to get a match to the VFB result. I do anyway.

                              • Nah, even when I save as a 32bit exr or hdr, it is dark. I also set gamma output to 2.2 if saving as 8 or 16 bit tiff, or just do an override.
