the above design is my hop trellis... It pivots from a point 5' above grade... Just for fun I want to animate how it works, but I want the STRINGS to stay attached to the eye hook and the ground... Any ideas...

    Thanx

easiest way would be to make the strings out of splines set to renderable and just link the start and end vertex where you need them to be

I can only get the top to link, not the bottom... I hit LINK, select top mode and link to eyelet, do the same for the bottom to a wodden stob... nothing...

you need to use the linked x form modifier.

Select vertex, spline select modifier, linked x form modifier (uncheck back checkbox) pick 1st link object, edit spline modifier, pick other vertex, spline select modifier, link x form modifier, pick other object. Repeat as needed for linked verts.

'hop trellis' - is that hops for beer making?
