  • how to use vrmat node

Hello ,in wich way i can use the vrmat node in blender?

  • #2
You could use vismat files (in XML format). Select filepath, then select desired material name with the menu.

Then we can't further edit this kind of material?

Yes, editing vrmat would be a nice option.

What does it mean I click "File:" and assign a *.vrmat and then when I click the folder icon next to "Name:" and select the material, nothing happens? Is the material name supposed to fill in the area next to :Name:"? I render and my object is invisible because the material isn't working. I am not sure how this should work.

I am not sure why the Name Field isn't/wasn't filling in but I discovered that manually typing the name works.

I would like to know what the node setup would be so that I can do a triplanar projection of the VRmat on an object that has not been UV mapped.

I am experiencing the same issue as this, my resulting render is invisible where the material is applied. Did you find out why this is?

Never mind - i found out that the 'Material Name' needs to match the name of the material in the file. seems so obvious now...
