  • Learning of interior rendering

    Hello, I have few question, and want to learn interior rendering, for start.
    1. What should choose maya or max compatibility for exporter that are given option in blender exporter.
    2. Are portals really necessary, if yes simple portal or portal would be better.
    3. what better to use:
    a) World for GI lighting,
    b) Hemi (dome),
    c) both with same hdri image.
    4. what GI primary and secondary engine should be:
    a) for speed
    b) for quality

    For interior rendering I use an hemi with a world with the same hdr image.

    For GI, it depends on the scene. Interior renders could be long to render, check the documentation here.

          Update your exporter and there is no bug anymore.

                  1. Camera -> Parameters -> Use Depth Of Field
                  2. Camera -> Physical -> Use DOF
                  + tweak settings

                      Use V-Ray Frame Buffer's "Lens Effects".

                      > how to get energy preservation effect

                      Have no idea what is that =)
