  • Substance to Vray

I just gave this a go and got reasonably predictable results with the vray export option and following Darren Wallace's tutorial

It's 4k at the minute, they plan to go to 8k.

I believe the basis of that tutorial is from here:

            http://polycount.com/discussion/1555...nold-converter

A few important points; Make sure to set the bdrf to Microfacet GGR (GGX) and check the gamma settings for IOR and glossiness vs. diffuse and specular.

im a bit confused about the ior map export from substance. Is it comparable to using falloff curves in reflection and glossiness maps or am i missing the point?

Why do i feel that just as I start to get the hang of one method, something completely different comes out
