        Nice work Neil. I like your work methods and you have nice maps / assets for free for people!

        I think every one has their own way of working. I've considered trying your method for a project. The issue is often we have to share the work with other studios, they don't use max (neither do I) and not having uv's and ability to transfer maps to other programs is limiting a lot these days

          Thanks guys!

          Morbid Angel: ya, if portability is super important, than uvs are a necessity. Although one thing to consider is to use the uvless techniques for your work, and if you need to send it elsewhere, you can bake the results to an automatically generated uv set. It doesn't always work, as there can be artifacts sometimes at seam edges, but many times it works great.

            Super awesome tut as always, thanks for sharing with the community!

            One note, have you tried using layer comps in Photoshop as your batch export? No 3rd party script needed to export pngs.

              Thanks for the tip, will look into it. Although to note I am trying to ween myself off photoshop and onto affinity paint. We'll see
