Good morning everyone, yesterday the Cosmos window stopped working. Windows did a system update, I don't know if that could be the problem. can you help me? thank you all
Filippo
There could be many causes for this problems. We will need the logs (if any) in order to see what's wrong. But as I usually say, logs contain sensitive data, so the best way to provide us with them would be to create an issue in our tickets system and attach your cb.log and config.json files (located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChaosGroup\ChaosCosmos).
As we discussed in the ticket it looks like the Chaos Cosmos Browser wasn't started.
You could also check the cbservice.exe enabled as a Startup app (You can see this from the Task Manager).
This way the service will automatically be started.
uninstall and reinstall chaos cosmos (during this step I accidentally deleted my old chaos cosmos library in Documents on my C drive, so now I don't even have old assets I had already downloaded)
stopping and restarting Chaos Cosmos from the standalone exe (the one in the windows menu and the actual exe on the C drive) and making sure to do this as administrator
killing Chaos Cosmos in task manager and restarting from 3dmax and from the standalone
making sure that cbservice.exe is running during various steps
None of this is working and I am at the stage where I have once again uninstalled Chaos Cosmos.
Has anyone got a fix for this yet?
It was working one day and then not, also had a windows update Max 2019 and Vray 6.20.02 Build 00000
