  • Cosmos Browser Extremely Slow

    Hi, title says it all. Haven't used Cosmos up untill now. I needed some people, but browsing (UI) is very slow and lags a lot if you click on something, you have to wait for the menu to open. On both my workstations (Threadripper 3990x & 3970x with 256GB RAM), Max 2023 latest and latest V-Ray if it would matter. 3ds Max is using about 30GB of RAM.

    Hi Vizioen, thanks for reaching out.

    Have you noticed whether the UI slows down with heavier scenes only or is it the same with an empty scene?
    Have you noticed other tools/plugins being slow, or is it just Cosmos?

    Best regards,

      Had to test it, but indeed the Cosmos UI slows down with scenes that are somewhat heavier, on an empty / less heavy scenes it's not as noticeable. No other tools/plugins are slow, only Cosmos.

          Hi again Vizioen, I was able to reproduce the issue and I reported it to the team.
          Until we have a proper fix, you can try to add the following environment variable and restart 3ds Max:
          Code:
          QTWEBENGINE_CHROMIUM_FLAGS=--qt-flag enable-gpu-rasterization --qt-flag enable-native-gpu-memory-buffers --qt-flag num-raster-threads=4
          Click image for larger version Name:	env_var_qt.jpg Views:	0 Size:	37.4 KB ID:	1208818

              Do you have any updates on this by any chance? Sadly, the environment variable didn't work for me.
