    hi,
I noticed that it is very responsive but on the other hand I seem to notice a lower image quality compared to Vantage. Then I wanted to understand if in the future the controls for color correction will be implemented as in Vantage for example.

    Hi visualtracing__,

    Thank you for your feedback!

The controls for color corrections are there. Select a camera, navigate to the Details panel and switch the sub-tabs from General to Color corrections (see the attached image).

    Regards,
    Ana

Can we turn OFF bloom by default? I never understand why we had this on by default in Vantage either.

From what I see in the UI, it's turned off by default.
If you're getting any different results, we might need to investigate whether it's a bug.

Played with Envision today for a quick minute. Seems to be lacking a bit compared to Vantage. Doesn't seem as intuitive. Like: Who do I need to create a camera to have access to the exposure controls, why when I select a HDRI image and decrease the intensity it only changes the background but not the actual intensity of the light. I do like the ability to edit materials. Please add that feature to Vantage. Quality seems not as good. It would be nice to be able to turn of denoiser while working. Is vrsecne the only file type one can import? Anyways... I'll have to play some more, but as for now I don't see the need to switch.

Oh... and how do we control the lights?... I only see the multiplier and color. How do I adjust how it affects specular, reflection and visibility.

              Hi Luma3d,

Thank you for your feedback! Mind that this is still a beta and our list of features to add is still pretty big.

              On your questions:
              1. The exposure controls (and cc's as well) work on a per camera basis, so you need to select that camera the properties of which you want to modify. Hence, if you haven't created any camera yet, you'll need to create one. This is a rare case though, as the vrscene always imports at least 1 camera to Envision.
              2. We'll need to check the described HDRI issue.
              3. Yes, the beta supports only .vrscene file. We will be extending the supported file formats for the official release.
              4. The light settings you're asking about are not exposed yet.

We're open to have further discussions on all the features you would want to see in Envision.

              Regards,
              Ana

I'm confused. Is this a future replacement for Vantage? Finding it hard to keep up with the Chaos ecosystem?

                  Hello simon_finger,

No, it is not a replacement. Vantage is a companion to the host apps where you can create animations (Max, Maya etc.). It is expected to focus more and more on the needs of M&E artists. Envision on another hand is a companion to the CAD apps, where the animation capabilities are either limited, or completely non existing. Envision contains its own advanced animation capabilities which we will be developing more and more over time, keeping the focus on the ArchViz needs.

We're very open to discussions about the product and its current and planned features. Let us know if you're interested and we can schedule a call.

                  Cheers,
                  Ana

Thanks Ana Lyubenova for the clarification. I use max and corona, so question answered. I spent a few days playing with the vantage trial. Putting aside its shortcomings, i quite liked the software. Realtime solutions are certainly appealing. However I really struggle with cost associated with Vantage - considering it is a 'companion to host apps' -- not a standalone product.
