I selected all objects with "Material2" applied to them and then tried to apply "Aluminum-Satin" from Cosmos library. It immediately crashed Envision.

    Here's the error log:

Hi jkollars66, regarding your first post and as suggested by the message in the details panel, material editing for certain material types is currently not possible.
As for the crash, are you able to reproduce this issue again with the same exact reproduction steps?

        Hello George,

Will the option to edit these materials be available in a future update?

Yes, the crash is repeatable. I tried it more than once using the same exact steps.

          Hi jkollars66,

It depends on the material. We're going to expose more material Enhancements which will allow us to display more materials.
You might wanna check my post #5 regarding materials in this thread.

          Cheers,
          Ana

It seems weird that a simple aluminum/aluminium material can't be edited. It wasn't anything fancy. Just a gray material with metallic added. Imported through a .vrscene file.

Now this seems strange. Can you send us the .vrscene?

Sure. Do you have a secure way of sharing files. It has some proprietary features.

I have tried replicating your reported issue but had no luck so far, I am suspecting there is some unhandled case with regards to the imported material so we will have to investigate it. Could you please isolate the object/material that's causing the issue and upload it? Please refer to the following support page on what steps you can follow: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/a...-Chaos-Support

                  Thank you.

Hi, we've manage to reproduce the reported issue, it seems that it's a combination of selecting the nodes & different materials being applied. Please stay posted for further updates on the matter EC-1457.

                      Best,
                      George
