high memory consumption

My Vantage is consuming much more memory than before with today's update, is this happening to anyone else?

If you have displacement or any type of hair system in your scene, this is expected.
How much more memory is Vantage 2.2 using compared to the previous version ?

I have a 16GB card, in the previous version it opened normally, in the new one a memory consumption error appears and the livelink doesn't even open.

Hm, are you sure about this ?
Can you share the log or the scene with us, so we can check what's going on ?

You can try disabling Safe GPU allocations from Edit->Preferences, which may allow the scene to be opened by spilling some of it to CPU memory.

You can set the tessellation level to None, which will not subdivide the base mesh, only displace it.
This takes just a bit more memory compared to previous Vantage versions.
