  • Denoiser creating random blurred patches in the render

I am trying to create an interior animation with the noise limit set to 0.01. When I render the frames, I seem to get random blurred patches in some areas.

Is there some way I can fix this?

    Hi basafath21,

Do you have Reduce flickering enabled? Sometimes it can cause such blurriness in random areas.

    Best regards,

This is a known issue with the Nvidia AI denoiser - it blurs some areas of fine geometric or bumpmapped detail that is noise-like. We have something in the works that should help with that, but it will be several months until we're ready.

There isn't a very good workaround currently. You can just try using more samples or maybe even a higher render resolution, hoping the denoiser can finally resolve this area.

I had same issue in my animation, I disable denoise and it's fine now

          It's still happening, any updates?

Try the Intel denoiser. If you're rendering an animation it could flicker though, because it doesn't yet support temporal stabilization.
