Idle Live Link

I am not sure what isn't working, but I am getting a idle live link. I am seeing a exporting node, with like an estimated 30 minutes export, and then idle. I never had this issue prior to 2.0.

I sent it to render and I get this.

Maybe some sort of firewall is preventing the connection ? Can you try disabling your firewall and test this way ?

What's the status in the "Live Link" menu in Vantage - it should say "Status: listening on port 20701" ?

MAX ended up going into not-responding. I let it sit all night and it never loaded into Vantage. I just tried a simple scene, and it worked. Maybe, I ran out of video memory of yesterday's model. However, I successfully rendered a much larger animation earlier in the week. If it happens again, I'll pay notice to the Vantage menu messages. Thank you.

I tried a new project tonight and nothing is working. Prior 2.0 worked fine on similar projects. I got long export times, thing like 3hours. I'll restart and it'll say exporting done, but nothing happens in Vantage, and I have also gotten .net errors.

Can you try downgrading to 1.8.6 and see if the problem persist or is it only reproducible with the 2.0 version?

It's almost certainly NOT the video driver.

If it is still happening in 1.8.6, when it worked before, then it may not be related to Vantage. Can you please send us a sample scene where its easily reporoducible?

I just ran an animation on a simple scene (just a gray-scale house) and it works fine. The odd thing is when V2 came out I rendered a heavy scene, heavier than the last two I tested, and it worked just fine. Something is causing the unknown error.

I turned off Forest Pack Pro and everything worked fine. I turned the grass back on, and my link broke. I relinked and it exported, but Vanatge didn't update. A lot of warnings, but no errors. I guess I shoud look into Chaos Scatter to see if things work better.
