      Hi Kwaikeong,

The blurring could be caused by the NVidia AI denoiser. Could you try rendering with the Intel Open Image denoiser and see if that helps?

      Best regards,

I think you are referring to some banding in this image, not the blurriness itself. It seems the reflection on this material is supposed to be blurry. The banding is probably due to the 8-bit output format, PNG.

Hi, I tried to use this Intel Open Image denoiser & save the rendering output became JPG. But the problem is there, you can refer to the photo. When the images put scale 1:1, some part not clear & some part have a watermark on the surface. I tried to find out the problem, but unable to get it.

JPG is a lossy format. Use PNG.

Even JPG or PNG also same problem.

Try to save it to exr or 16 bit tiff

The problem still there, certain part still not clear, the photos still have watermark.

is there any update? I'm also finding it difficult to obtain a clean result without noise while moving.

Unfortunately there are no universally optimal settings, it depends on the scene. Could you share an example image or video? How many light sources do you have? I assume you're rendering an animation with the Optix denoiser and "reduce flickering" on. Which Vantage version and driver version are you using (this affects the denoiser)?

                          Hi,

I'm using the latest build of Vantage 2.2.1, vray v.6.20.00 update 2, Cinema 4d 2024.1.0, GPU rtx 4090 card with driver 546.29 (if there is any recommended driver it would be welcome)
As a light source I only have a sky without hdr and a visible area light in the shelves.
Denoiser I tried both and I'm rendering Mp4 at 1280x720
I'll post a short video over the weekend
As you can see from the advantage setting it seems quite strong to me

                          thanks

Thanks, I see two things that could cause visual issues. One is the motion blur - it's a post-processing pass and the quality is not always great. The other and more likely culprit is the "only final pass" option which we recently discovered a bug with. The bug will be fixed in an update, but until then try disabling this option. Do the artifacts look like these? https://forums.chaos.com/forum/chaos...rendered-frame

The driver is ok, however NVIDIA fixed a bug with release 546.33 because earlier drivers starting with 535 were causing Vantage to start slowly every time. So it might be beneficial to update.

thanks for the info! the artifacts are the appearance of noise in movement and therefore I don't get a clean video. I've actually never tried to disable motion blur. It's a shame because its effect was beautiful. I'll update the drivers and do some testing. Thank you
