    Hello,
    I am having fading/transparent issues using the visibility track in 3dsMax24 with Vantage. I also tested this with vray GPU engine and it acted the same. With CPU engine it render correctly. The problem is, I have an a object fading from on to off using the visibility track and it's not doing any fade in the in between frames. It just snaps on or off. CPU render shows it with a nice transparency in transition. I tried to check the docs but did not see any know limitations unless it was addressed in a different way or I totally missed it.

    Anyone know if the visibility track key frames carry over with Vantage or GPU? Or I am doing something wrong.

    Hi, thanks for posting. You are using Live Link is this correct? We have an issue with visibility and Live Link logged in our system as a bug (LAV-1451).

      Thank you for confirming. Yes I am live linked. Is it a live link issue or does this still happen if you export as vrscene through Vantage?

        Hi, thanks for confirming. WIth export as vrscene it is the same. Only values of 0 and 1 are supported and no in-between values or animation. I will add this thread to the list and bump the priority of this issue.

          A small side bar. I know a ton of ways to do this but anyone have any advice with getting objects to dissolve on and off within Max to go out to Vantage?. The animation is banked into max so all the transitions are using the visibility track on objects which of course with the note above things are just popping on and off so not working as intended. Any solutions for dissolving objects on and off with Vantage through-put? I may have to do it post.

            Currently we only support clip opacity, so you can't use opacity for a gradual transition. You could try using refraction with IOR 1.0 ...
