(Video example in the link and mostly visible on the metal jaw) As I tested, vantage has an issue with displacement on deforming objects, no matter its settings: disabling dynamic textures and some other things (only not checked if it is set to none). I am unsure if it is a problem with displacement normals(the original object is just regular subdiv), and why some shadows disappear once the object starts to deform. Also, I think that tesselation resolution is based on units is an issue cause high preset dont provide enough detail in cm, but does in meters. Pertriangle tesselation does not always work perfectly and would be nice to add some more settings to it.

Maybe Vantage always tesselate any face based on it area, cache it, and forget to update while deforming?
