  • specific Vantage compatible material library

could be great and very useful to have a specific Vantage compatible material library in "Vray material library browser"

It will be easier for us to just support as much of the normal material library as possible.
That's what I think at least.

Can you point to specific issues that you have with the materials from the library when using them in Vantage ?

I think the Vray mat library is okay. Except for a few incompatible nodes. Vantage is already ignoring them and I don't have to do major changes to make it look perfect in Vantage.

            Hi Vladimir,
for example, a vraymtl with composite of several layers as diffuse map appears in vantage a single map...It doesn't display the all layers of the composite in reflexion

I can't see the images you posted, but based on the description you gave, this is most likely caused by "shading graphs" being disabled for GI/glossy reflection rays.
Instead, Vantage uses a simplified texture, as calculating the real shading graph can be much slower (up to 2 times or maybe even more depending on the graph).

We might want to revise the condition when shading graphs are disabled - for example do it only for reflection glossiness < some value.
So if you could send us the scene, it might be helpful in determining the best approach.

See screenshot for how you can enable shading graphs for GI/glossy rays.

              Vladimir Nedev
