  • Vray Compatibility

Hello, compatibility of other vray tools is planned?
Vray fur, vray clipper, vray plane, some maps as softbox, and vray material as 2side, carpaint with flakes ....

We do plan to support more V-Ray features, yes, but can't give you a time frame on any particular one.
However, this also depends on how much adding them affects performance (even when the feature is not used).

Some features like V-Ray Fur and V-Ray Clipper's include/exclude lists might have terrible performance without further hardware support.
So it's possible they will be disabled by default if/when we have them.

Can you list the features in order of importance for you ?

Maybe adding the features in the form of plugins? where you can turn off the tools we don't use?

I can't go into details, but you can't plugin GPU code as easy as you can CPU code.

          and vray material as 2side
The build that we just released (version 1.3.0 ) includes support for the 2-sided material.
          There are some restrictions however.
Most notably, the translucency texture can be only a bitmap texture with simple UV mapping (Offset/Tiling/Tile options from 3ds Max are ok, but rotation is ignored).
When "Multiply by front diffuse" is enabled, the diffuse texture has the same restrictions.
