  • Online Licensing

    Hi guys,

I emailed support on Monday but I still haven't heard anything back. What I'm trying to figure out is can you use online licensing for rendernodes?

I'm looking at Amazon EC2, I had a look at trying to set it up but I couldn't see my licenses on localhost:30304

Looking at the help docs here https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...lineActivation

"The Online authorization settings found in the V-Ray license server information window is not the same as your online credentials used to log into your account at my.chaosgroup.com."

It would be useful if it mentioned what login details are required then?!

    Thanks,

    Hello,

Sorry for the late reply on your case - I have just sent you an answer from our ticket system.

"The Online authorization settings found in the V-Ray license server information window is not the same as your online credentials used to log into your account at my.chaosgroup.com."
    - This is related to the "Chaos Group License Server Settings" - these are used to set to point Chaos Group products to a remote computer that hosts the Chaos Group License Server. In case the Chaos Group License Server runs on the same machine you can use either "localhost" or "127.0.0.1" as the primary license server address. The username and the password in the "Chaos Group License Server Settings" serve another purpose. If you are using Online licensing please leave them blank. Your chaosgroup.com account credentials are only required for the activation of the Chaos Group License Server. The activation can be performed during the installation of the license server or later at http://localhost:30304

Can you please check if it is possible to activate the Online licensing at http://localhost:30304 - the default browser in Windows server usually has some security restrictions and it is possible that the interface of the license server is partially blocked and not displayed correctly. If possible please remove these restrictions or install another browser (for example Firefox, Chrome or Opera).
