  • Vray next update 1 Can’t connect to license server

I installed vray next update,1 for 3ds Max 2019. Previously using vray next , Max 2019 with no troubles.

Now, after install I can’t connect to online license server. I think I need, per vray docs, a second set of user name and pword, different from what I use to log in to my chaos account. I do not seem to have these and cannot find how to,retrieve them.

alos updated to most current (5.x I think) license server. Not using dongle.

You don't need different credentials, I don't think we have something like that in the docs. Do you see your license listed when you navigate to http://localhost:30304 on the computer with the license server installed?
You can also check your license settings - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...cense+Settings

No I do not see the license listed. I get a cannot load page error message. I have sent a screen grab of that to you.

There is a section in the help docs that says you cannot use your product user name and password. It includes a graphic:

uninstalled the license server, deleted folder per instructions from support, re-installed, used same credentials as my vray purchaes/account (despite the docs saying that will not work) and now have it working. Thank you.
