Yes also down here in Perth Australia.... AGAIN! This is happening far too often. I thought vray was supposed to keep working for 2 weeks or something if you go 'offline'?
Sort this shit out Chaos Group. This is not good enough. We have project deadlines and can't use vray at the moment. Will you be offering some sort of compensation for the downtime?
There is going to have to be some kind of formal announcement. I need something to show my client when their deadline is missed and they can't bring anything to their investment meeting in the morning. I don't know, millions on the line?
Down here in Melbourne as well, assuming this is just across the board. Online licensing is a bit of a mess. Hoping to get my dongle updated to Vray Next asap as I can't work like this
I just hopped on the forums trying to see why my license keeps saying its not found only to find this thread. It's been happening ALL day today. It just went down again and I can't finish my work. Is it possible to load the license offline somehow?
Why doesn't the online licensing just check in daily? I find if my internet connection is having any problems the licensing system even slows me down in Maya when I'm not even rendering. It seems like every time I create a Vray light it has to phone home and if there's any issues with the connection, I'm waiting 2-10s for Maya to become responsive again - yes I realise its a shitty internet connection but it still seems pointless to have to phone home that often.
