Managed to get rendering again by 'borrowing'/using offline license through the Manage Chaos License Server app. Thought I'd mention it in case it could help someone else out.

hmm something up here still. seems to be every friday our time Chaos mess with something that makes sending off weekend renders a nightmare....

For the moment it would be best to borrow your licenses locally. There is more information on how to borrow a license here:
