  • Could not Optsain a License again

always bit annoying...I have always problems with switching the Dongle from one machine to an other. Now I am having an error -197 and after reboot the machine -200. It´s about 2 or 3 time a Month that case. How is the way to keep it working always correct? I am using also always the same USB port and the Wibuky is fine.

    Sorry for your inconvenience.
We recommend to all of our clients with dongles to migrate their licenses to online based license tied to the username, instead of the license to resides on the USB dongle, hardware based, because the hardware have more different problems and is not so floating as the online licensing.
If all of the machines you want to use V-Ray is located in one local network, there is no need to unplug and install the dongle for every machine, but rather install the dongle driver and license server application only on one machine, where dongle is plugged, install the latest wibu driver and license server application, and activate the license into the license server web interface "ip_address:30304"(where ip_address is the ip address of the local machine with dongle plugged or "localhost:30304" if opened locally). Then point all of the machines which will be using V-Ray should change their V-Ray client license setting to the ip address of the machine where dongle resides:

If the machines resides in different local networks, the online licensing would be perfect for such cases, because you don't need the USB dongle to be plugged into a different machines, install drivers and activate it all the time.
With online based licenses, the only thing you will need to do is install V-Ray, install the V-Ray license server included in the installation file and activate the licenses in the web page "localhost:30304" or "127.0.0.1:30304", and sign in with your username tied to your license, and this you will be able to use V-Ray.

In your case please make sure that the dongle is recognized from your OS, for windows you can see it in Device Manager>USB and check for the WIBU-BOX/RU if it is available and not with yellow exclamation mark. If the dongle appears as installed, make sure that the dongle appears as green in the web page "localhost:30304", and you are able to see your V-Ray license there as free and available.
You can also write us at support@chaosgroup.com if you would like to share more sensitive personal information or screenshots, so we can investigate your issue further.
    Thank you.
