  • Need Help - Can't obtain a license for V-ray 5 for Cinema 4D

Hi, I was working in V-ray 5 for Cinema 4D last night and everything was working fine. Came in this morning and now it says "Could not obtain V-Ray UI license: No license for this product error". I'm going through a license server on another machine, and the IP address on that machine did change (not sure why). However, I've updated that using the "Change license settings" app, but still nothing.

I need help to get this back up and running as quickly as possible. Thanks.

I should probably also note that the 3.7 license still appears to work fine.

Could you please send us a screenshot of the V-Ray client license settings and another screenshot of the license server web page "ip_address:30304", where ip_address is the ip address of the machine where V-Ray license server is installed. Also please confirm what is the e-mail address tied to your V-Ray 5 for Cinema 4D license you purchased. If you are not okay to share this information here on the forum, please send us an e-mail at support@chaosgroup.com. Thank you.

Same problem here too, 3.7 works fine but version 5 gives me the license issue.

information from ivan / shaio two days ago :

the vray-5-beta license has expired one week after the "final" release.
but there was a trial reset. you should be able to apply for a one month trial, now.

                Hi

Same issue here, just wanted to swap to V5 and only license for 3.7 appears.

Nice way to give us testing period before the Jan 13th...

Just started the trial version and it's still only for Vray 3.0, but seems to work for V5 too.
