suddenly without license

I've reverted back from 3.05 to 3.04. My license stopped working just like that between restarts of computer. I also checked my dongle, in two different usb slots, no luck. Max phoenix windows says could not connect to license server, settings: 127.0.0.1, port 30304. Perhaps online auth is the solution but what username and pass should I provide? The one from chaosgroup login?

It is possible that there was an issue with the V-Ray License Server installation. Please download and install the latest version available here:
https://download.chaosgroup.com/license-server

If you are still not able to obtain the license afterwards please let us know what is the exact error code that you receive in 3ds Max when you try to use Phoenix FD. Also please check if you are able to reach the license server web interface at http://localhost:30304

Hi,

I'm on Vray for Rhino. Had other projects for a while and did not use it for a few weeks. Still I need to use it today, but suddenly I have no license.
I am on dongle license, which is a concious decision, as I have an unstable network connection.
Due to this I cannot switch to online licensing on a permanent base.

Is there a possibility to check the dongle?
It beeps when I attach it to the workstation, but it does not show a light. Wibu Key is running.

If the dongle is faulty, how can I obtain a working one? Is there a way to temporarely use online licensing until I receive the new one? As stated above I can not switch permanently.

Sorry about this, license server update solved it. I was hesitant to do this as I was afraid it would move me into online licensing.
Fortunately this did not happen.
