  • Oil / Water separation

This is a theoretical question. I know we can mix 2 liquids like in the paint example, but is there a way to separate them again? Like in an oil water separator? How might I go about that?

    Thanks very much!

Ah, I think you need to use two simulators for that..

Could you maybe use 2 different viscosity settings on the emitters, although the big problem is they really need different density for oil/water.

Is this something that will be looked at in future for Phoenix Svetlin?

Maybe that's the reason that 2 simulators are needed. I didn't realize that one simulator could affect another like that. I'm not really sure how to make that happen though. This isn't for a deadline and could be easily faked with particles and layered phoenix sims. I was just curious. I'm getting better with Phoenix but I have a ways to go.

        Best Regards,
