  • Mixing static mesh and phoenix water

I have a big tub I need filled, but only need to sim the top part, instead of its full depth. Is there a way where I can fill out the bottom with a static mesh and sim on the top 30cm of water. And when it comes to render, it all renders as a single watermesh?
Other times when I have tried to mix both static mesh and phoenix sim, there always seems to come a barrier created by my material settings.

Hey, sounds like a job for the Cap Mesh mode under the Rendering rollout?

I think it might cover it this time, but other times I have faced similar problems where it would have been really nice to add a static mesh to the phoenix-water or just having two phoenix sims blend perfectly in render.

Yes indeed, it would be good to have merging of meshes. It's already in the todo list, adding another vote for it.

        Cheers!
