    Hey, Leo,

please check the following videos: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/.../How+to+Videos

When you run a simulation, Phoenix FD stores the cache files (by default, in AUR format) to disk in the background. So, if you want to transfer your simulation to another platform where Phoenix FD is available (e.g. from 3ds Max to Maya), you are already set up.

If you want to transfer the simulation to Houdini, VDB is a great option - both the particles (foam, splash, etc) and the liquid itself will be stored in a single file. There is a video in the link above showing how to set this up.

The third option is alembic - you'll have to generate separate alembic files for the particles and the liquid mesh - you should be able to render this with any rendering engine, as long as the host platform can load alembic files. There is a video showing how to set this up in the link above.

    Cheers!

      Hey,

How do you want to export the simulation and what do you want to do exactly? As a mesh or particles in Alembic format or to VDB files? Or you have something else in mind?

I´m having difficulties rendering an archviz animation. It´s heavy because because I have numerous forest pack objects. it renders fine; but If I turn ON the phoenix simulations, it doesnt. So I want it to export as a proxies to test if I´m able to render it. I don´t know if I´m going in the right direction.
        thank your for your help.
