i have a helicopter flying thru clouds and i need it to interact with the cloud but every-time the heli goes thru cloud the whole cloud explodes. Any ideas how to fix this just want the part of the cloud that the heli goes thru to interact not whole cloud.

You have to find out why it explodes in order to figure out what to do about it.
Just guessing - if the movement of the helicopter is too fast, or maybe the movement of the rotor is too fast, go to its right click properties and reduce the motion velocity multiplier.
Also, it could be that your geometry is not clean and watertight, which could break the solver. As always, make sure to have no inverted normals, no overlapping faces, and that the geometry is closed and there are no missing faces.
Hope this is in the right directionSvetlin Nikolov, Ex Phoenix team lead

i can recommend jess pitelas new phoenix training for this (and many other) common situations.
short and to the point videos with example files to deconstruct. i believe a combo of his static smoke, rotor wash and falling osprey tuts should give you a comprehensive overview of this type of effect.

no cloud is volume brush cloud is source
