Export times - can't figure out where it is slow (maybe it is not export times, just don't know how to name the thread)

    Started to read logs once again. They changed a lot. I don't understand a single line and also, why .aur frame name is always the same, despite frame number change.

    The main q is - where is bottleneck ? Simtime is about 8minutes, while most of the time CPU is almost idle. Judging from the log it feels like compression takes a lot and also it is single threaded (I know, that it means nothing, since not everything can be paralled). But maybe there some steps I can do to speed things a bit.

    So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

    Yup, slowest part is compressing and writing the cache file.

    Are you on the latest nightly? I just multithreaded the next-to-last remaining single threaded particle compression. Now only one compression type remains single threaded.

    If you are already on the latest nightly, and you have enough hard disk space, uncheck Compress Particles and see if this will be faster.

    I just started working on multithreading the final remaining compression, but got interrupted by new Max and Maya versions, so will not be back for a while...

      I have uberfast 2tb ssd now. I have some space for sure

      Version is from 29-th march. Btw experiencing some flashing simbox things, where it changes colors from black to yellow + some weird lines all around. Will report later, lots of things to test

      yay file is now 5gb->10gb, but 4minutes from 8 Nice
