  • Phoenix for 3ds Max 2024

    Hi!

When will there be an PhoenixFD nightly for 3ds max 2024? I see almost daily versions for 2023 but nothing for 2024 yet.

Hey, in a few days I hope. I am starting to add the support now.

    Cheers!

      Hello Svetlin,

Do you have a more precise release date for the 2024 version ? (Just to know if we can do the full switch before starting a new project )

Thank you for your work !

        Hey Remy,

No official date for this yet I'm afraid, but as soon as it makes it into the nightlies we will update the thread and let you know.

Are you getting close to official 2024 builds?

                  Any update on this?

We are looking to upgrade the studio to Max 2024 but the only application holding us back is Phoenix.

Hey guys, I can give you a nightly build number that has successfully passed all our internal tests and contains no known issues. Does this work for you?

Joining the chorus hoping for a timeline on the release for 2024. We also have everything else ready to move, but don't want to do production work on nightlies. Obviously better to have the job done right than rushed, but any information that can help us plan would, well, help. Thanks!

                        Hey,

We will see if we can move the official release sooner since there is a lot of demand for the official builds I didn't expect.

In any case, if this can't happen, here are the nightlies that have passed all tests and don't contain known issues and regressions - Build ID 32076: https://nightlies.chaos.com/#/phoenix5max/nightly/20230509

                        Cheers!

                          I get this message:
"The PHX_FOR_3DSMAX2024_BIN environment variable can not be found. Please reinstall Phoenix."

Any tips how to fix this?

Of course there's demand, it's a product a lot of us pay for It seems odd that the release isn't in sync with the rest of the 2024 releases

The nightly builds are more stable than most company's release software, especially of phoenix. If you download the latest nightly it works with 2024.

We have only been running nightlies of both PHX and VRay for a few years now.
