  • Phoenix FD Advection Displacment

    Hi, i have been trying to get advection displacement to work but can't seem to figure out the way to connect it.

    Using Maya VRay Volume Grid to render from Phoenix FD Sim. Thanks in advance!

    Yup, in order to get this effect, please plug a PhoenixFDTexture as the map in the displacement. Then pick the Simulator in the texture and choose the Grid Velocity channel.

    In this example, I also multiplied the PhoenixFDTexture with a 3D Noise texture before plugging it in the displacement, in order to make it more interesting.

    Does this make sense?

      Thanks for getting back! Stuck at multiplying the 3D noise texture before plugging it in the displacement. Can you provide me an step by step example of how that might be achieved?
