  • Mist contribution to atmospheric effects render element on GPU

Mist isn't showing in this render element when rendering on GPU (works on CPU) - couldn't find anything in the docs about this, bug or missing feature?
Unsure why it would be a missing feature as bubbles contribute to the atmospheric effect on GPU

    Hey,

The Atmospheric Render Element is not supported yet when rendering with V-Ray GPU.

As a workaround, a Light Select render element in Light Path Expression mode can be used to obtain an equivalent of the Atmospheric Effects on V-Ray GPU with a Phoenix Simulator or Particle Shader in Fog mode present in it.

A possible example expression would be (C[O])|(CV.*). Note though that the (C[O]) part will also capture other directly visible emissive objects (excluding the lights) in the scene alongside the directly visible fire.

More information on V-Ray Render Elements support can be found here - https://docs.chaos.com/display/PHX4M...ements+Support

    Cheers!
