  • Phoenix FD 2.0

    Hi everybody,
as Maria already wrote, the demo builds are available and the adv builds will be available soon as well.
Few words about the new version.
The most important feature is of course the foam/splashes shader, that allows to make more realistic water rendering. It also can be used to fill grid with particles and to render them as smoke, an ability that can be very useful.
Another important point that is good to be mentioned is that if you open an old scene and resimulate it, the result will be not the same. The reason for this is a bug fix in the core. However, some scenes can't work without it, or would require very high settings, so a compatibility mode is provided for such cases.
Note that the third conservation method is changed from bidirectional to buffered. This is not just change of the name, the bidirectional method was removed due to the lack of stability, and the buffered method has nothing common with it.
Well, i hope you will enjoy it

    Regards,
    Ivo
